GAME: Denver Nuggets (44-37) at Seattle SuperSonics (34-47).
TIME: Wednesday, 10:30 p.m. EDT.
Although the Denver Nuggets won the Northwest Division and earned the Western Conference's third seed, coach George Karl knows they won't go very far in the playoffs if their late-season struggles carry over to the postseason.
"My concern is, we're playing with energy spurts," Karl said after the Nuggets' 86-83 loss to Houston on Monday, their third straight defeat and seventh in 11 games.

DENVER (Ticker) - The Denver Nuggets will have to play without bench catalyst Earl Boykins down the stretch.
Mike Miller scored a franchise-record 41 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 116-102 win over the Denver Nuggets on Friday night. Miller, who also set a franchise record for points from a reserve, connected on 12 of his first 15 shots and 15-of-24 for the game as the Grizzlies built the lead to 22 in the third quarter.

The shots were falling at their end, nothing seemed to be going in on the other, and the lead kept building. It seemed almost too easy for the Denver Nuggets. Apparently, it was. Denver built a big lead in the first half, blew it all in the third quarter, then pulled away down the stretch to end the San Antonio Spurs' five-game winning streak with a 104-92 victory Wednesday night.

Carmelo Anthony scored 28 points and reserve Greg Buckner capped a 19-point performance with a pair of key 3-pointers to help the Denver Nuggets beat the New Orleans Hornets 109-94 on Saturday night. Just as they've returned to New Orleans, playing before enthusiastic sellout crowds, the Hornets have ceased to look like a playoff team.

Suns 107, Nuggets 96 (AP)
The Suns beat the Denver Nuggets in a showdown of NBA division leaders, and yet all the talk after the game was about how poorly Phoenix played. They shot only 43.3 percent from the floor, well below their 48.0 percent average, second-best in the NBA. They blew a 14-point second-quarter lead. And they lacked the energy they had two nights earlier, when Amare Stoudemire returned to the lineup after...

Carmelo Anthony is having a memorable March. Anthony scored 31 points and moved the Nuggets closer to winning the Northwest Division title with a 117-104 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Friday night. He is averaging nearly 30 points in 13 March games and shooting 56 percent. "I'm more concerned by the way we came out sluggish," said Anthony, who has scored 96 points in three games against...
Nuggets sign Eisley for rest of season (AP)

The 12-year veteran averaged 2 points and 1.8 assists in 7.8 minutes in six games. He signed the first 10-day contract March 3. Eisley also has played for Minnesota, San Antonio, Utah, Dallas, New York, Phoenix and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Jazz 115, Nuggets 104 (AP)
The Utah Jazz thought they had to beat the Denver Nuggets, and they made doing so seem almost effortless. Mehmet Okur scored 24 points and the Jazz used easy layups to shoot 58.5 percent from the field in their 115-104 win over the Nuggets on Wednesday night. It was the highest shooting percentage the Northwest Division-leading Nuggets have allowed an opponent this season.
Camby out against Jazz with back strain (AP)
Center Marcus Camby missed the Nuggets' game against the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night with a mid-back strain. Camby reported tightness in his back Wednesday morning, the team said. He is listed as day to day. Camby has missed 22 games this season, including 15 in December and January because of a broken finger.
